Financière Hélios was incorporated in June 2005. In July 2005 the Company acquired the 39.5% stake held by Air Liquide in the capital of Séchilienne-Sidec and subsequently filed a tender offer, as required by the AMF’s Règlement Général.
As the reference shareholder of Séchilienne-Sidec, Financière Hélios has been actively supporting the Company’s growth and its development strategy, in particular towards renewable energies. Financière Hélios is controlled by funds managed by Apax Partners SA and Altamir Amboise.
In May 2010, Financière Hélios reached an agreement with its banks and thus got out of the safeguard procedure open in 2009.
